Namibia, South Africa Open T20 Triseries in Windhoek
Namibia and South Africa will open a T20 triseries tournament on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek, marking the start of a competition designed to strengthen international cricket on the continent. The hosts, led by experienced all-rounder Gerhard Erasmus, will face a South African side captained by left-arm spinner Bjorn Fortuin in the first match, scheduled for a 5:30 PM IST start. The tournament features a double round-robin format, with each team playing the others twice. The top two sides will advance to the final on September 6. Zimbabwe is the third participant, using the series as preparation for hosting the ICC ODI World Cup in 2027.
