Murder investigation launched in Dungannon after man found dead

A murder investigation has been launched in Dungannon, County Tyrone, after a man was found dead and a child was seriously injured in a property on Lisnahull Road on the morning of Saturday, August 29, 2026. A male has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder and remains in police custody. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 11:00 a.m. following a report of an incident. The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service dispatched a helicopter crew, three emergency crews, an advanced care paramedic, two ambulance officers, and a Hazardous Area Response Team. A child was transported to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children for treatment.
