Ms. Rachel Pledges $1M to Match Macklemore's Donation to Palestine Aid

Published 20 September 2026

Children's entertainer Ms. Rachel has pledged $1 million to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, matching a donation from rapper Macklemore and challenging other wealthy celebrities to follow suit. The pledge, announced on Instagram on September 17, 2026, follows Macklemore's removal from the remaining U.S. dates of Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour after he made pro-Palestine remarks on stage. Ms. Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso, wrote that she would match Macklemore's donation and invited "every wealthy white celebrity" to do the same and "speak out against the genocide in Gaza." She cited the killing of over 20,000 Palestinian children and stated, "We have a moral obligation to use our privilege and platforms to protect children and human rights." The Palestine Children's Relief Fund confirmed her role as a global ambassador and said the funds would support children needing surgery, medication, and other medical care. Macklemore, whose real name is Benjamin Haggerty, announced on September 16 that he would donate his entire $1 million in net earnings from the tour to six organizations supporting Palestinians.
