MP Chadha Denies Voter Roll Claims Amid AAP Dispute

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has refuted allegations from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) concerning his voter registration in Delhi, asserting that he adhered to all Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines and procedures. The dispute arose after Chadha's name appeared on the electoral rolls in Delhi, following its removal from the draft rolls in Punjab. AAP leaders claimed Chadha's inclusion in the Delhi voter list was an illegal entry, made without following due process, particularly after his name was reportedly deleted from the Punjab draft roll published on August 13. AAP national media in-charge Anurag Dhanda stated that the Election Commission's own clarifications exposed a "backdoor manner" of entry, questioning how Chadha's name became the 747th voter at a polling booth where the draft roll concluded at 746. Responding to the accusations, Chadha described the AAP's claims as baseless and stated he had utilized the prescribed remedies for voter registration. He suggested the AAP leadership was fixated on him since his departure from the party, likening their behavior to "a bitter ex who has just been dumped.
