Motorola Moto Watch Ultra Launches with Wear OS

Motorola has launched its latest smartwatch, the Moto Watch Ultra, featuring cellular connectivity and running on Google's Wear OS 6 platform. The device, announced at IFA 2026, aims to compete in the premium smartwatch market with a focus on health tracking and smart features. The Moto Watch Ultra sports a 1.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, capable of reaching up to 2,700 nits of peak brightness and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor, offering access to the Google Play Store for a wide range of applications. The smartwatch includes features like Google Maps, Google Wallet for payments, and integration with Google Gemini and Motorola's Qira AI assistant. This marks Motorola's return to Wear OS after its previous Moto Watch ran a custom operating system. The new model is the first Moto Watch to offer LTE and eSIM support, alongside dual-band GPS, allowing users to make calls and send messages independently of their smartphones. Durability is addressed with IP68 dust and water resistance and 5ATM water resistance, making it suitable for swimming.
