Modi arrives in Tashkent for two-day Uzbekistan visit
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Tashkent on Saturday, August 29, 2026, for a two-day state visit to Uzbekistan, where he was greeted with a warm welcome by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The visit, which marks Modi's fourth trip to the Central Asian nation, aims to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries. Upon his arrival at the airport, Modi was personally received by President Mirziyoyev. The two leaders shared a cordial embrace before proceeding to Yangi Uzbekistan Park, one of the country's largest public parks.
