Modi Arrives in Kyrgyzstan for SCO Summit
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday to attend the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, a gathering of regional leaders marking the bloc's 25th anniversary amid ongoing geopolitical tensions. The two-day summit in Bishkek, which begins Monday, will bring together the heads of state of Russia, China, India, Pakistan, and Iran, among others, for discussions on security, connectivity, and economic cooperation. Modi's participation follows a two-day state visit to Uzbekistan, where he held delegation-level talks with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent on August 29 and 30.
