Missouri Woman Indicted For Threats To Austin Metcalf's Family

A federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Texas has indicted a Kansas City, Missouri, woman on three felony counts for allegedly sending death threats to the family of Austin Metcalf, a Texas teenager whose murder case drew national attention. Sharifa Nicole Henderson, 34, was named in an indictment returned on September 9 and was arrested in Kansas City on September 11. She made an initial federal court appearance and is being transported to the Eastern District of Texas to face the charges. The indictment alleges Henderson sent threatening communications to Jeff Metcalf, Austin's father, on three consecutive days in June 2026. Prosecutors say the threats began on June 9, the same day a Collin County jury found Karmelo Anthony guilty of murdering Austin Metcalf. On that date, Henderson allegedly sent a Facebook Messenger message threatening to kill a family member and put them in a body bag. The following day, June 10, she allegedly called Collin County government and threatened to "demolish" the family and "strangle" a member. A third communication on June 11 allegedly included the statements "Dont worry Ill kill you next" and "I will hunt you forever until I kill you.
