Missouri beats Kansas 38-21 in Border War rivalry game

No. 23 Missouri defeated Kansas 38-21 on Friday night, extending its winning streak in the Border War rivalry to five games. The victory, which took place at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, Kansas, marked the first time the teams played in Lawrence since 2005. The game was tied 14-14 at halftime before Missouri pulled away in the second half. The turning point came early in the third quarter when linebacker Robert Woodyard Jr. forced a fumble and then intercepted a pass on consecutive Kansas possessions. These turnovers led directly to two Missouri touchdowns, giving the Tigers a 28-14 lead.
