Michail Antonio banned from driving after Lamborghini case

Former Premier League striker Michail Antonio has been banned from driving for six months after being found guilty of failing to identify the driver of his Lamborghini when it was involved in a suspected motoring offence in central London. The 36-year-old, who now plays for Watford, was convicted by magistrates at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court of failing to give information to police when required. The Metropolitan Police had written to Antonio, the registered keeper of the Lamborghini Urus, on November 12, 2025, seeking the identity of the driver after the car was seen being driven without due care and attention on Pall Mall at 12:38 a.m. on November 5, 2025. When no response was received, the force commenced a criminal prosecution. Antonio told the court he was not the driver that night, stating he was visiting his children in Manchester between November 3 and 6, 2025. He testified that he had loaned the vehicle to Tarique Josephs, who runs a car rental business. "I was in shock," Antonio said of his reaction to receiving the criminal charge notice in February.
