Metallica Extends M72 Tour to 2027 with North American Dates

Metallica has announced a 12-date North American stadium tour for May and June 2027, extending their ongoing M72 World Tour. The new leg will feature Limp Bizkit and Avatar as support acts and follows the band's 24-show "Life Burns Faster" residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas, scheduled from October 2026 to March 2027. Tickets for the newly announced shows will go on general sale on September 25, 2026, at 10 a.m. local time, with fan club presales beginning on September 21. Additional presales will be available throughout the week, including options for Citi cardmembers and Verizon customers. The tour is set to begin on May 8, 2027, at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, marking Metallica's first performance in the city since August 2017. It will conclude on June 19, 2027, at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah. The 12 dates include stops in San Diego, El Paso, San Antonio, Fayetteville, Kansas City, Raleigh, Indianapolis, Buffalo, Madison, and Cleveland, all at major stadiums. Metallica's M72 World Tour, which launched in April 2023, has played to nearly five million fans across 99 shows in 26 countries.
