Marvel Rivals Season 10 Adds Gorr, Removes Loki
Marvel Rivals is set to launch its tenth season, titled "Butcher's Blasphemy," on September 11, 2026, introducing the formidable villain Gorr the God Butcher to its roster. The new season's trailer reveals Gorr wielding the AllBlack the Necrosword, embarking on a crusade against divine beings. Gorr's philosophy centers on the belief that gods foster dependence through false hope, and he intends to eliminate them, potentially by constructing a "God Bomb." In a unique marketing move, the game has temporarily disabled the popular character Loki from most game modes, including Quick Play, Arcade, Practice vs. AI, and 18 vs. 18. While still accessible in Competitive mode and social hubs, Loki is listed as "Missing" in the character selection screen. The Season 10 trailer provides an in-game narrative explanation for this disappearance, depicting Gorr striking Loki down with the Necrosword, seemingly killing the God of Mischief. NetEase Games, the developer, has confirmed that Gorr the God Butcher will be the sole new hero added in Season 10.
