Filmmaker Mani Ratnam has unveiled the title and first look of his upcoming romantic drama, "Inji Vellam," starring Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi. The title and motion poster were released on Monday, September 7, 2026, generating significant interest, particularly as it marks the first on-screen pairing of the two lead actors. The rain-drenched first look features Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi sharing an intimate moment, hinting at the film's emotional narrative. Visuals also include Kolkata's iconic Howrah Bridge, suggesting the city plays a significant role in the film's setting. A substantial portion of "Inji Vellam" has reportedly been shot in Kolkata.
