Manchester City sign Allan Elias from Palmeiras for 40 million

Manchester City have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras, with the 22-year-old joining on a five-year contract in a deal worth approximately 40 million. The transfer, announced on August 31, 2026, makes Elias the club's sixth arrival of the summer window and is seen as a direct replacement for Savinho, who departed for Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the transfer period. The agreement, reportedly finalized around August 24, includes a fixed fee of roughly 37.5 million plus 2.5 million in performance-related add-ons. Elias, born on April 19, 2004, in Florianópolis, Brazil, progressed through the Palmeiras academy and made 96 senior appearances for the São Paulo-based club, registering nine goals and 12 assists. He was part of the squads that won the Campeonato Paulista titles in 2024 and 2026. City's Director of Football, Hugo Viana, expressed confidence in the new signing.
