Man Utd sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton for £65m

Manchester United have completed the signing of midfielder Carlos Baleba from Brighton for an initial fee of £65 million, with an additional £5 million in potential add-ons. The 22-year-old Cameroon international has agreed to a five-year contract at Old Trafford, with the club holding an option for a further 12 months. The deal, announced on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, marks the club's third midfield acquisition of the summer transfer window. Baleba departs Brighton after three seasons, having joined the club from French side Lille in August 2023. During his time with the Seagulls, he made 112 appearances across all competitions.
