Man Utd Fail to Sign Left-Back or Louis Page in Summer Window

Manchester United concluded its summer transfer window without signing a left-back or completing a deal for Leicester City midfielder Louis Page, despite a late push for the teenager. The club's manager, Michael Carrick, expressed overall satisfaction with the squad's overhaul but acknowledged the desire for further reinforcements that did not materialize. United's transfer activity focused on reshaping its midfield following the departure of veteran Casemiro. The club signed Andrey Santos from Chelsea for 50 million pounds, activated Youri Tielemans' 35 million pound release clause from Aston Villa, and secured long-term target Carlos Baleba from Brighton for 70 million pounds. Goalkeeper Karl Darlow also joined on a free transfer from Leeds United. The window closed without any further incoming or outgoing first-team deals. A significant late effort was made to sign 18-year-old Leicester midfielder Louis Page, who was named the EFL Championship Apprentice of the Season last term. United reportedly tabled a package worth around 15 million pounds. However, Leicester's owner, Aiyawatt "Khun Top" Srivaddhanaprabha, rejected the offer.
