Man Posing as 49ers Player Arrested in $1.3 Million Fraud Scheme

Daejon Love, a 35-year-old man accused of posing as a San Francisco 49ers player to defraud women, was arrested on August 24, 2026, alongside his alleged accomplice, Taylor Jamie Chan, at Boise Airport in Idaho. Federal prosecutors allege the pair ran a romance and investment scheme that defrauded at least 26 women of approximately $1.3 million. The arrest followed an investigation into a scheme that began in February 2022, with Love allegedly using multiple false identities and fabricated financial information to gain victims' trust.
