Man and woman in their 70s found dead at Wilmslow home
Police are investigating after a man and a woman in their 70s were found dead at a home in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Officers from Cheshire Constabulary were called to a property on Grange Park Avenue at 3:34 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, following concerns for the welfare of the occupants. Upon arrival, they discovered a 78-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman deceased inside. Detectives have stated they do not believe there was any third-party involvement in the deaths and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. "Enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident are ongoing, although officers do not believe that there is any third-party involvement," a police statement said. Detective Inspector Robert Lees addressed the community impact of the discovery. "We understand the concern this incident will have likely caused in the local community, and I would like to reassure residents that a thorough investigation is being carried out, and we are not looking for anyone else in relation to this matter," he said. "Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of those involved.
