MAGA Inc. Launches $10 Million Texas Senate Ad Buy
A political group aligned with President Donald Trump has launched its first major spending of the 2026 midterm general election cycle, announcing a $10 million ad buy in the Texas Senate race. The expenditure, disclosed in a Federal Election Commission filing on Saturday, September 5, 2026, is aimed at boosting Republican candidate Ken Paxton and attacking his Democratic opponent, James Talarico. The spending by MAGA Inc., the super PAC associated with Trump's Make America Great Again movement, marks a significant escalation in a race that has become a focal point for both parties. The $10 million will be split between $5 million for positive ads supporting Paxton and $5 million for negative ads targeting Talarico, according to the filing. This is the first general election spending by the group, which has amassed a war chest of more than $400 million. The investment comes as Republicans have grown anxious about being outspent in key races that could determine control of Congress. Senate Majority Leader John Thune recently urged Trump's team to deploy resources in Texas, noting the high cost of advertising in the state.
