In the post, which featured pictures of their night at the awards ceremony, Majchrzak wrote that since leaving the villa they had come to the decision to go their separate ways. She added that some chapters are special even if they are not meant to last forever, that the memories of their shared experience will always hold a special place in her heart, and that she was looking forward to what the next chapter holds for both of them. Hours before the announcement, Majchrzak became emotional while discussing the breakup in an interview with the Polish publication Super Express. She said the past week had been hard, and that life inside the villa was completely different from life outside because the contestants were disconnected from the outside world and their phones for two months.
