Liverpool sign Barcola from PSG for £123m

Liverpool have completed the signing of France forward Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth up to 123 million pounds, making it the most expensive transfer of the summer window. The 23-year-old passed a medical on Monday, August 31, 2026, before finalizing a five-year contract with the Premier League club. The transfer fee comprises an initial payment of 106 million pounds, with an additional 17 million pounds in potential add-ons. This structure covers a solidarity payment PSG owed to Barcola's former club, Olympique Lyonnais, from his original move to Paris in 2023. The agreement surpasses the previous summer record set by Morgan Rogers' move from Aston Villa to Chelsea for 156 million pounds. Barcola expressed his enthusiasm about the move. "It took a long time but I'm really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play," he said. "I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League, it's one of my biggest dreams in my life." The French international, who will wear the number 29 shirt, is primarily a left winger.
