Liverpool FC completes £250M summer transfer window

Liverpool FC concluded a summer transfer window marked by significant departures and strategic reinforcements, with manager Andoni Iraola overseeing the club's business following his arrival. The team saw several senior figures depart, most notably club legend Mohamed Salah, who left on a free transfer at the end of the 2025-26 season. Andrew Robertson and Ibrahima Konate also departed upon the expiry of their contracts. The club's spending was headlined by the acquisition of French international Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee that could reach £123 million. Barcola is seen as a key addition to bolster the attack with his pace and direct play. The Reds also strengthened their defensive ranks with the signing of Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes for £55 million, a move described as a long-term succession plan for the center-back position. Victor Munoz arrived from Osasuna for £34.5 million to add depth to the forward line, while Ronald Araujo joined on loan from Barcelona to provide versatile defensive cover. Goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans was also signed from Genk for £30 million but immediately returned to his former club on loan.
