Lewis Family Injects Further £120m Into Tottenham Hotspur

Published 16 September 2026

The Lewis family has injected a further £120 million into Tottenham Hotspur, bringing their total investment in the Premier League club over the past year to approximately £320 million. The latest capital boost, reported on Wednesday, is the third and largest such injection in the last twelve months, following two previous £100 million contributions in October 2025 and June 2026. The funding is intended for working capital rather than being earmarked specifically for transfers, but it arrives after a summer of significant spending by the club. Tottenham committed over £300 million in the transfer window, including a club-record deal for Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United and the signing of Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United. The investment provides head coach Roberto De Zerbi with further financial backing as the team seeks to improve on its recent league form. The injection comes as the Lewis family, the majority shareholders through their control of ENIC, assumes a more prominent role in the club's decision-making following the departure of former executive chairman Daniel Levy last September.
