Lenovo has unveiled its new IdeaPad Vibe laptop series, a line designed to offer vibrant customization and competitive performance at an accessible price point, directly challenging models like Apple's MacBook Neo. The laptops, announced at IFA 2026 on September 3, 2026, feature a striking departure from traditional muted laptop aesthetics, with seven color options developed in collaboration with the Pantone Color Institute. The IdeaPad Vibe series aims to appeal to students, families, and everyday users seeking a blend of style and functionality. Available in 14-inch and 15-inch screen sizes, the laptops boast an all-metal or hybrid metal-plastic chassis. Customization extends to optional swappable keycaps, allowing users to further personalize their device. Under the hood, the IdeaPad Vibe offers a choice between processors from AMD and Qualcomm. Configurations will feature AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series chips or Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors, with Intel-based models expected at a later date.
