Lazarus Group Moves $30M in Crypto Through Hyperliquid

Published 1 September 2026

Wallets linked to the sanctioned North Korean hacking collective Lazarus Group have moved more than $30 million in cryptocurrency through the decentralized trading platform Hyperliquid, according to blockchain analysis, in a transaction chain that highlights the challenges of tracking illicit funds as U.S. regulators consider bringing the platform into the regulated market. The transfers, identified by Arkham analyst Emmett Gallic and first reported on August 31, 2026, involved addresses previously flagged by investigator ZachXBT in 2024 as connected to the Lazarus Group.
