Laver Cup set for three days in London

The 2026 Laver Cup is scheduled to bring Team Europe and Team World to London’s O2 Arena from September 25 to 27 for three days of men’s tennis, with results and a champion still to be determined. The event’s pre-tournament lineup includes Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev for Europe, and Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur for Team World. The competition pairs six players from Europe with six from the rest of the world in a team format on hard courts. Matches carry one point on the first day, two on the second and three on the third. The first team to reach 13 points wins; if the score is tied after 12 matches, a deciding doubles match is played. Andre Agassi, Team World’s captain, praised the event ahead of play, describing the arena as spectacular and saying competition and intensity are high. Zverev, who is on Team Europe, said he values the tournament and tries to take part because he feels the event has supported him. His remarks came as the Laver Cup prepared for its ninth edition. Agassi also raised the possibility that court conditions could challenge Zverev.
