Lanterns Episode 7 Reveals Hal’s Family History

Episode 7 of Lanterns reveals that Hal Jordan’s father and grandfather died by suicide, while John Stewart and a recording of Hal’s consciousness find the escaped Sinestro on the alien world linked to Antaan. The installment, which advances the series’ investigation into Hal’s death, leaves both the cause of Hal’s death and the circumstances of Sinestro’s escape unresolved. The episode’s flashbacks show Hal as a boy receiving a key to a family safe from his father, Martin. Hal later tells the Halogram that Martin left a note saying he had lived with worsening pain and believed his family would be better off without him.
