Production on the third season of the Paramount series Landman is set to begin in September 2026, but fans should not expect new episodes to air this year. Actor James Jordan, who plays Dale Bradley, confirmed the production timeline in recent interviews, indicating that the season will likely premiere in 2027. Jordan stated that filming is scheduled to start in mid-September and will continue through the first quarter of 2027. This timeline effectively rules out a 2026 release, despite earlier hopes from some involved in the production. "We start that sometime in September and we'll shoot that through the first quarter of next year," Jordan told Us Weekly. He added that he has only received one script so far, with creator Taylor Sheridan still actively writing the season. The delayed start follows multiple pushbacks. Production was initially slated for May 2026 and then August, with the final September commencement attributed to avoiding the intense Texas summer heat. This marks a shift from the previous two seasons, which began filming in February 2024 and April 2025, respectively, and premiered in November of those years.
