Kyiv Strikes Kill 12 as Children Return to School
Russian missile and drone strikes killed at least 12 people in Kyiv and the surrounding region overnight, Ukrainian officials said Tuesday, marking the sixth consecutive day of aerial attacks on the capital as children prepared to return to school. The barrage, which combined ballistic missiles with waves of attack drones, targeted critical infrastructure including a railway depot, residential buildings, and other civilian sites, triggering fires and prompting a massive emergency response. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the death toll and stated that an Indian citizen was among those killed.
