The Vatican's chief advisor on AI ethics, Paolo Benanti, was also present. In opening remarks released by Buckingham Palace, King Charles described the pace of AI development as "intriguing and deeply concerning in equal measure." He stated that those who value humanity's moral component are "anxiously seeking your reassurance that we will not lose control of our destiny." The King emphasized that the decisions made now will shape the world for future generations.
