Lane Kiffin, the former Ole Miss head coach, returns to Oxford on Saturday to lead No. 7 LSU against No. 8 Ole Miss in a top-10 matchup that has drawn significant attention due to his controversial departure from the Rebels last year. The game, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on September 19, 2026, marks the first top-10 meeting between the programs since 1962. Ole Miss has implemented heightened security measures for the game, including banning opposing-team gear in the student section, according to athletic director Keith Carter. Police expect approximately 100,000 people to converge on Oxford, a town of about 26,000, for the event.
