Kia Unveils Larger PV7 Electric Van at Hannover Show

Kia has unveiled the PV7, a larger all-electric van, at the IAA Transportation 2026 trade show in Hannover, Germany. The new model is the second vehicle in the company's Platform Beyond Vehicle lineup, following the smaller PV5, and is designed to offer greater capacity and flexibility for commercial and passenger use. The PV7 will launch in Korea and Europe in the second half of 2027, with additional markets and variants to follow. Kia plans to expand the lineup to include 23 different versions, encompassing Cargo, Passenger, Chassis Cab, and various conversion models. Built on the dedicated EGMP.S platform, the PV7 measures 5,350 mm in length with a 3,500 mm wheelbase. It is offered with two nickel-cobalt-manganese battery options: a 71.5 kWh standard-range pack and a 96.2 kWh long-range unit. The long-range Cargo version provides a WLTP range of over 460 km (286 miles). The vehicle features an 800-volt electrical architecture, enabling a 10-80% charge in approximately 25 minutes using a 350 kW DC fast charger. It is the first Kia model to come equipped with dual charging ports.
