Katy Perry on Bloom split and Trudeau romance

Published 4 September 2026

Katy Perry has spoken about the challenging period following her separation from Orlando Bloom and her subsequent romance with Justin Trudeau, the former Canadian prime minister. In an interview published on September 3, 2026, Perry described the months after her split from Bloom in June 2025 as "the hardest time." Perry, who shares her 6-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with Bloom, embarked on her Lifetimes Tour in April 2025. She explained that her daughter joined her on the road, witnessing her mother navigate professional responsibilities during a difficult personal period. "She sees her mom being strong," Perry told People, "But also, not every day was easy." She recalled feeling isolated while her friends were home, experiencing tears and a sense of distance. However, the tour also marked a significant turning point. Perry met Justin Trudeau while on the road, describing him as "the love of my life." The two were first romantically linked in late 2025 after being seen together in Montreal, Canada, shortly after Perry and Bloom's representatives confirmed their separation in July 2025. Perry publicly confirmed her relationship with Trudeau in October 2025 during a concert.
