Published 7 September 2026

Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda pledged support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's reelection bid on Saturday, September 5, 2026, during the launch of a northern mobilization initiative for the president. The PBAT DoortoDoor Movement, founded by Niger Delta businessman Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, inaugurated its Katsina State structure at the Peoples Square in the state capital. The movement presented 34 campaign vehicles to coordinators representing each of the state's 34 local government areas. Tompolo, represented at the event by High Chief Kestin Ebimorbowei Pondi, described the initiative as part of efforts to mobilize grassroots support for President Tinubu's reelection campaign. Pondi urged movement members to engage in doortodoor outreach in wards, communities, markets, and households. Governor Radda assured President Tinubu of Katsina State's commitment, stating that the state has a special attachment to the president and would not let him down in the 2027 presidential election.
