Kane becomes fastest to 100 Bundesliga goals in Bayern's 7-0 win

Published 20 September 2026

Harry Kane became the fastest player in history to score 100 Bundesliga goals, reaching the milestone in just 98 appearances during Bayern Munich's 7-0 victory over Union Berlin on Friday. The England captain converted a 39th-minute penalty to bring up his century before heading home a second goal in the 54th minute, taking his total to 101 Bundesliga goals. Kane's achievement surpassed the previous record held by Cologne striker Dieter Müller, who took 129 matches to score his 100th Bundesliga goal in 1977. The 33-year-old has now scored a goal every 78.5 minutes in the German top flight since joining Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, a rate faster than Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski, and Gerd Müller. "I'm very proud, scoring 101 Bundesliga goals in such a short time. I've loved every second of it," Kane said after the match. "Playing with Michael Olise, Lucho, Jamal Musiala, I know I'll get chances. Thank you to the team and the club." While Kane made history, teammate Michael Olise delivered a standout performance with a hat-trick.
