Justin Tucker works out for Jets amid kicking search

Justin Tucker, the former Baltimore Ravens kicker widely considered one of the greatest in NFL history, worked out for the New York Jets on Wednesday as the team evaluates its options at the position. The tryout comes after Tucker served a 10-game suspension last season for violating the league's personal conduct policy following allegations of sexual misconduct. Tucker, 36, was among three kickers who visited the Jets' facility in Florham Park, New Jersey, according to multiple reports. He was joined by Michael Badgley and Joshua Karty. The Jets did not officially announce the workouts. New York is currently sorting out its kicking situation after releasing Jason Sanders, who had been competing for the starting role, earlier this week. The team claimed Blake Grupe off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts on Monday, and he is expected to be the primary option as the Jets prepare for their season opener against the Tennessee Titans on September 13. Tucker's NFL future has been uncertain since the 2024 season.
