Jury Finds Tyreek Hill Liable on Two Battery Counts

Published 14 October 2026

A Miami-Dade County jury found Tyreek Hill liable for two battery counts in a civil case brought by his former wife, Keeta Vaccaro, and awarded her $500,000 in compensatory damages. The jury did not award punitive damages and found Hill not liable on the other claims decided at trial. The verdict, returned Tuesday, October 13, followed a trial over Vaccaro’s allegations of physical abuse during their marriage. The jury found Hill liable for incidents Vaccaro said occurred on January 11, 2024, and April 7, 2025. Hill denied physically harming her, though he acknowledged verbally abusing her, according to trial reporting. The jury rejected five other battery claims, one assault claim and one claim of continuing domestic violence. One account also reported that it rejected an intentional-infliction-of-emotional-distress claim. Vaccaro’s lawyers agreed to dismiss another battery count on the day of the verdict, according to one report. The award was compensatory, not punitive. Hill’s legal team described the outcome as a defense victory, pointing to the claims the jury rejected and the amount awarded. Vaccaro’s attorney said her side was satisfied with the verdict.
