& Juliet to Close on Broadway in January 2027

Published 11 September 2026

The Broadway musical & Juliet will play its final performance at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on January 3, 2027, producers announced Thursday, ending a run of more than four years. By closing night, the show will have played 1,723 regular performances and 20 previews, placing it among the 50 longest-running Broadway musicals of all time. Producers Theresa Steele Page and Eva Price said the production has grossed more than $175 million and reached more than 1.5 million people during its four years on Broadway. Those figures come from the producers' announcement rather than independent verification. From the very beginning, Juliet has been winning over audiences and critics alike, shattering every stereotype about jukebox musicals to deliver a smart, funny, heartfelt story all while sparking true joy in everyone who sees it, the producers said in a joint statement. Were incredibly proud of the run weve had on Broadway, and the story of inclusion, acceptance and second chances weve been able to share with more than 1.5 million people in our four years on Broadway.
