Judge Restricts Dolly Parton Estate Nephew in Temporary Order

A Tennessee judge has issued a temporary restraining order against Bryan Seaver and his security company at the request of Shes Alive, the entity overseeing Dolly Parton’s business interests. The order limits their access to people and organizations connected to Shes Alive while the court dispute continues; a hearing is scheduled for October 7. The order, issued September 23, requires Seaver and Squadron Augmented Protection Services to stay at least 1,000 feet from Shes Alive employees and business partners, and bars them from entering Shes Alive property or interfering with its business relationships. Seaver is Parton’s nephew and formerly led security for her properties. Shes Alive, run by Parton’s longtime manager Danny Nozell, said it terminated Seaver and his company before seeking court protection. In court filings, Shes Alive alleges Seaver sent threatening messages before and after Parton’s death, including threats to damage her brand and business relationships unless he was paid. The filings also describe alleged threats toward employees, attorneys and business partners.
