Joheirry Mola Dominguez of the Dominican Republic was crowned Miss World 2026 on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at a grand finale held in Nha Trang, Vietnam. The 24-year-old teacher and journalist bested 111 contestants from around the globe to secure the title at the 75th-anniversary edition of the pageant. Spain's Elisabeth Reynés Alabern finished as the first runner-up, while Malaysia's Taanusiya Chetty was named the second runner-up. Dominguez was crowned by the outgoing Miss World, Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand. The finale took place at the open-air 2 April Square in Khanh Hoa province. Hailing from Santo Domingo, Dominguez is a professional model and community advocate. She founded the initiative "Voices of Tomorrow," which focuses on expanding educational opportunities for children and youth in vulnerable communities. She also works as a news correspondent, highlighting Dominican culture and community stories. Dominguez earned her place at the global pageant after winning the Miss World Dominican Republic title in 2025 and securing a spot in the Top 40 by winning the Americas and Caribbean segment of the Top Model fast-track competition.
