Jets finalize 53-man roster, trade for Raiders lineman
The New York Jets trimmed their roster to 53 players by the NFL's Sunday deadline, making a series of cuts and transactions while agreeing to a trade to address a key need on their offensive line. General manager Darren Mougey finalized a deal to acquire center-guard Jordan Meredith from the Las Vegas Raiders, sending a 2027 sixth-round pick in exchange for Meredith and a 2029 seventh-round pick. The trade, which leaves the Jets with one open roster spot to fill Monday, brings in a veteran with starting experience to provide depth behind center Josh Myers and guards Joe Tippmann and Dylan Parham.
