Jamui case main accused shot, arrested after encounter

Nandan Yadav, the main accused in the alleged molestation and assault of two Class 10 students in Jamui district of Bihar, was shot in the leg and arrested after a police encounter on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, police said. Jamui Superintendent of Police Bishwajeet Dayal confirmed that Yadav suffered a bullet injury during the encounter. Additional Director General of Police for law and order K.S.
