The injury occurred late in the fourth quarter as Williams drove toward the basket and fell awkwardly after contact with defenders. Medical personnel treated him on the court before he was carried away on a stretcher. He gave the crowd two thumbs up as he left. The game was stopped for about five minutes before Oklahoma City completed the victory. The Thunder had not announced a diagnosis or recovery timeline after the game. Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander said he felt bad for Williams and expressed confidence that his teammate would return. His remarks offered support but did not establish how long Williams might be out. The immediate uncertainty leaves the team without a confirmed assessment of the injury’s extent....
