Jack Miller to Join Yamaha WorldSBK in 2027

Jack Miller is set to transition from MotoGP to the World Superbike Championship, signing a two-year deal with Yamaha for the 2027 and 2028 seasons. The Australian rider, who has spent 12 years in MotoGP accumulating four wins and 23 podiums, will move to production-based motorcycles. Miller's departure from his current MotoGP team was confirmed earlier in the year, making way for Izan Guevara. He will replace Xavi Vierge at the Pata Yamaha WorldSBK team. Miller expressed his excitement about the move, stating he has enjoyed his partnership with Yamaha in MotoGP and is grateful for the opportunity to compete on the R1 in WorldSBK. He has had prior experience with the R1 at the Suzuka 8 Hours race in recent years, though he acknowledges the WorldSBK-spec bike will differ. "I am really excited to announce that I'm heading over to WorldSBK together with Yamaha, extending our partnership together," Miller said. "I have really enjoyed working with the brand these past few years in MotoGP and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to see what we can do on the R1.
