Israeli strike hits Gaza hospital warehouse, killing several

Israeli strikes hit a medical warehouse inside a hospital compound in central Gaza on Saturday, injuring several people, while separate attacks killed multiple Palestinians across the territory, according to health officials and military statements. The hospital's director, Raed Hussein, reported that an Israeli drone strike targeted a tent used as a medical supply warehouse within the hospital complex, causing extensive material damage and injuring three people. The Israeli military confirmed it struck a target within the compound, stating it had targeted a Hamas commander hiding in a structure adjacent to hospital buildings. The military said it had warned Gazan medical authorities two days prior about the cessation of using medical facilities for military purposes and that steps were taken to mitigate risk to civilians. Doctors Without Borders expressed alarm at the reports, emphasizing that hospitals must be protected as safe places for patients and healthcare workers.
