Israeli forces kill 2 Palestinians in West Bank raid

Two Palestinian teenagers were killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday night during a raid on the village of al-Mughayyir, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. The incident, which the Israeli army said was an operation to secure the retrieval of livestock, has drawn attention to the escalating violence in the territory. The victims were identified as Omar Mohammad Naji al-Nassan, 19, and Khalil Rasem Khalil Shahada, 16. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that both were critically wounded by live fire, with al-Nassan shot in the neck and Shahada in the back. They were transferred to hospitals in Ramallah, where they were pronounced dead. The events leading to the shooting are disputed. Amin Abu Alia, head of the al-Mughayyir village council, stated that Israeli settlers attempted to steal sheep from two homes in the village. Following a confrontation, he said the Israeli army imposed a siege, raided the center, placed snipers in buildings, and opened live fire on residents who tried to confront the settlers.
