Iran sends war-ending conditions to US via Qatar

Iran has formally conveyed a set of conditions to the United States through Qatari mediators for ending the ongoing war, the country's top security official announced Saturday. Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, stated in an interview that Tehran is now awaiting a response from President Donald Trump. The core demands include an end to hostilities on all fronts, the release of frozen Iranian assets, and the lifting of the U.S. naval blockade. "We remain in contact with the mediator Qatar, which has conveyed our conditions to Washington with the aim of ending the war," Rezaei said. He asserted that accepting these terms is in Washington's interest and warned that U.S. threats will not yield results. Rezaei indicated that Iran's military strategy has shifted in response to the conflict, with planning now focused on U.S. naval assets in the Gulf region. He stated that Iran is prepared for a "decisive war" and did not rule out a new U.S. strike, calling the possibility "very much on the cards." He also claimed Iran recently test-fired a multi-warhead anti-ship missile near a U.S. vessel.
