Iran Claims U.S. Planning New Strikes, Issues Retaliation Warning

Iran's central military command announced on Sunday that it has received intelligence indicating the United States has decided to resume military strikes against the Islamic Republic, a claim that has not been independently verified. The warning from the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, which oversees Iran's armed forces, was broadcast on state media and raised the prospect of renewed fighting after months of reduced direct attacks. The military statement alleged the U.S. decision was made with the "green light of some regional countries" at a joint meeting in a European country. It vowed that any new U.S. attack would trigger sustained, unlimited retaliation against American bases and interests across the Middle East. The command also warned that regional countries allowing their territory or facilities to support U.S. operations would be considered complicit and could face an Iranian response.
