India Women vs Hong Kong China in Women's Asia Cup T20

Published 3 September 2026

India Women are set to face Hong Kong, China in their second Group A match of the Women's Asia Cup T20 2026 on Thursday, September 3, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM IST. The Indian team enters the contest with strong momentum after a dominant 94-run victory over Thailand in their tournament opener on August 30. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur's side currently leads the group standings with two points and a net run rate of 4.700. A win against Hong Kong, China would secure India a place in the semifinals of the eight-team tournament. In their opening match, India posted 159/9 in 20 overs, a total built around an aggressive 64 off 36 balls from opener Shafali Verma. The bowling attack then dismantled Thailand for just 65 runs, with Deepti Sharma delivering a standout performance of 3 wickets for 0 runs in 1.1 overs. Nandni Sharma also claimed three wickets. However, the team did experience a middle-order collapse against Thailand, and the batters will be looking for a more consistent performance.
