India thrash Pakistan 19-0 to reach Junior Asia Cup semis

India's junior women's hockey team produced one of the most lopsided results of the tournament on Thursday, overwhelming Pakistan 19-0 in the quarterfinal of the Women's Junior Asia Cup 2026 in Moqi, China, to book a place in the semifinals. The defending champions scored five goals in each of the first two quarters, three in the third and six in the fourth, taking a 10-0 lead into halftime. India earned 18 penalty corners and one penalty stroke over the course of the match, while Pakistan did not register a goal, penalty corner or penalty stroke. Puja Sahoo opened the scoring in the seventh minute after an earlier Indian goal was disallowed following a referral. Roshni Aind added a field goal in the ninth minute, Tanushree Kadu converted from a deflection in the 11th, and Sukhveer Kaur converted a penalty stroke in the 13th. Sanika Mane's field goal made it 5-0 by the end of the first quarter, and further goals from Madhu Sidar, Geeta Yadav, Mane again, Tanuja Toppo and Pooja Malik took the lead to 10-0 before the break. The second half brought no respite for Pakistan.
